The everyday boat (20th century)

The Palamós takes its name from one of the great fishing ports of the Mediterranean, and it stands for the fleet that made that port: the inshore boats. All-purpose hulls, built in small yards up and down the coast, that put to sea at dawn and came back with the day's catch for the auction. No feats, no battles: the trade of bringing fish into port, one day after another. Whole villages lived on that constancy.
