The wagon that moved Europe (20th century)

This is the wagon that moved Europe. The German covered goods wagon with its brakeman's cabin was built in the tens of thousands — the G 10 type alone ran to more than 120,000 units — and after the wars it ended up spread across the whole continent, still working into the 1970s. The cabin tells the best story: before the continuous air brake, a brakeman rode inside it, winter after winter, turning the brake wheel whenever the locomotive whistled.

Between 1920 and 1945 went through several stages of development, which led to gradual changes in the structural design of the cars, due to fundamental changes in production technologies.

After World War II, it could find some units throughout Europe. Many countries, adapted to their needs,  being used until recently.

You will find out, step by step, how to put together a model with all of the details of the original wagon. We invite you to let yourself get carried away and set up spaces for creative leisure in which you can enjoy this marvellous model of boxcar.
