Great Model! However, for a model of this caliber amd price I would have expected the dead eues to have been more acciratly drilled. I had to redrill everyone. It would have been great to have the brass stantions as well.

Il kit dell'Albatros della OcCre si rivela una scelta eccellente per chiunque voglia dedicarsi al modellismo navale. Le istruzioni sono chiare e ben strutturate, rendendo l'assemblaggio fluido e stimolante anche nei passaggi più delicati. La qualità dei legni e dei dettagli in metallo è davvero eccellente, con componenti tagliati al laser che combaciano alla perfezione e riducono al minimo la necessità di aggiustamenti. Costruire questo brigantino si è dimostrata un'esperienza estremamente soddisfacente e gratificante sotto ogni punto di vista. Il risultato finale è un modello elegante e d'effetto, che incentiva assolutamente a proseguire su questa strada e ad acquistare presto un nuovo progetto firmato OcCre.
C’était une première pour moi et j’ai adoré l’albatros est parfait pour débuter dans le monde merveilleux des maquettes en bois et surtout avec Occre . Merci à vous pour la qualité de vos maquettes et le sous du détail. Je vais très prochainement débuter la construction du spitfire super marine. Pour ce qui hésite encore franchisé le pas vous ne le regretterez pas.

Ein spannender Start ein ein neues Hobby. Der Bausatz ist von sehr guter Qualität, alles passt und ist gut erläutert. Zudem gibt es viel zu lernen - und die Freude kommt nicht zu kurz! Ich konnte allerdings der Versuchung nicht widerstehen, einzelne Planken anzubringen 🤗 Mein zweiter Bausatz ist schon da (Endurance). 😁
J’ai voulu me lancer dans l’achat d’une maquette de bateau mais c’est pas si simple , de plus j’aimerais récupérer des baguettes je sais pas si c’est possible.

The OcCre Albatros was a good choice for my first wooden ship model. It took 28 days, around 4 hours per day to complete. However I shall take more time and care on my next one! With full sail it needed a crew. Preiser HO scale figures are perfect. Not too big for 1:100 ship. Model materials are first rate and instructions superb. Also YouTube tutorials very clear. I am not very dexterous and lost several deadeye. OcCre kindly supplied a whole pack at no charge. This is one of the reasons I hope to build a small collection of their models. Peter Walker. The kit was excellent! For those who are new to the hobby, you can be confident that there are ample materials to complete the ship. The paint set is also ample to finish the work. The instructions do require careful study and you must think ahead several steps to be sure you do not create problems for yourself. The videos available on line are very helpful but Alex did make a number of errors so be sure to read the comments below each video.

First experience i have ever had on making wood model. İ am pleased to test this experince with Occre. İt was very joyful and great time to build it from begining to end. İnstruction supported by videos and coloured pictures was showing step by step clearly how to built it. Next one is Endurance. Thank to Occre.
Primo modellino mai realizzato. Ottimo materiale, istruzioni chiare e nonostante fossi alle prime armi, ritengo il risultato finale soddisfacente. Ho già acquistato un secondo kit che non vedo l'ora di iniziare.
Die Albatros von OcCre ist wohl das beste Einsteigermodell auf dem Markt. Ein hervorragender Bausatz. Mittlerweile habe ich auch bereits mein vierten Bausatz von OcCre bestellt. Beautiful kit and a very rewarding build! The Albatros was my first OcCre model, and I really enjoyed every stage. The parts fit perfectly, the wood quality is excellent, and the instructions are clear. It’s a great project for modelers who want to challenge themselves and end up with a beautiful ship for display.
I am still in the process of building my first model ship, challenging however enjoying every moment while learning. The video’s available via YouTube are a great tool for guidance. Highly recommend getting all the essential tools and glues advised by OcCre to facilitate your build with minimal aggravation.
Built this for my mother in law a few years back. This was my first wood model and enjoyed working on it. Now I’m waiting on the Endeavour to arrive and I ordered the Mississippi for the wife and I to build.
Great build… first time building wooden ship and feel I went pretty well. I took some liberties and did a few other little things to add to the build. Instructions went well for the most of the build. Rigging instructions I feel needs just a little more. Perhaps some photos like with the main build. In some cases I was left wondering, where does the other end of this rope go. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of having a go. Now to decide on the next one… hmmm

Enjoyed the model. First time trying to make a model ship. Enjoyed it so much that I decided to make another model I have the HMS Terror. Waiting for some parts that were missing is all. Plan on the Diana next.

I’ve built a lot of plastic models over the years, but this is my first attempt at a wood ship. The directions are very clear, especially with the color, step by step photos and videos, and the laser cut pieces just always fit the way they are supposed to. I have a feeling that this is my first of many kits from OcCre.
Fairly easy build. Plenty of quality wood, but just enough blocks, etc.

I have built many plastic model kits throughout my years (mostly 1/48th scale aircraft), but the OcCre Albatros is my first attempt at wooden ship modelling. It was a great personal challenge which I enjoyed immensely. I found the kit to be very forgiving as I was able to make changes to my methods resulting in improvement as the build and my knowledge progressed. The materials, plans and tutorials provided by OcCre are quite nice in this kit with only a couple of ambiguities that I dealt with, but overall it was a great experience. I am stepping up to the next level as I have purchased and am awaiting delivery of the HMS Beagle. Thank You OcCre

Tot nu toe heb ik heel veel lol gehad tijdens het bouwen van deze boot. Alles is goed en duidelijk uitgelegd en goed te volgen. Ook zijn de onderdelen van zeer hoge kwaliteit.

This is my first ship build. Until now, it really meets my expactations. Every piece is cut with precision and te metal pieces look amazing aswell. I will update the review with a photo when im further in the build.

After a scratch build this was my first laser cut build. And I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. The instructions and the videos were very detailed and helpful. It took me about an half year to complete this ship. And when I managed to lose the steering wheel Occre send me a new one very quickly. Already ordered the next model in the store.

Great model. Instructions easy to follow. I have only one complaint. One piece is missing from the kit--#12500-7. This contains the pieces for the gun carriages. What can I do to get this replaced?

This was my first wooden ship model and I was surprised by how challenging and rewarding the process was. This kit was an excellent introduction to the hobby and I enjoyed the journey tremendously. I made many mistakes along the way but learned that most can be recovered from and in the end, the model serves as a beautiful reminder of the genius and grace these ships embody. I've already started on the next one!
