The Milan tram that has been running for almost a century (1928)

The Milano 1503 was the first production car of the Ventotto, the 1500 class that Milan began building in 1928 on the American Peter Witt design: five hundred cars that modernised the entire network. Almost a century later, dozens are still in service in Milan — among the oldest trams anywhere still at work — and around a dozen run in San Francisco. This isn't a historic tram: it's a living one.
