Historia del barco HMS Beagle
El HMS Beagle fue uno de los buques más famosos de su tiempo por diferentes motivos. El más famoso de todos ellos fue sin duda alguna su periplo de investigación naturalista, capitaneado por el comandante Robert FitzRoy y estando a bordo el joven Darwin.
Botado en el río Támesis el 11 de mayo de 1820, fue construido por los astilleros Wollwich. En julio de ese mismo año, como parte de los festejos por la coronación del rey Jorge IV, fue el primer barco en navegar bajo el nuevo Puente de Londres.
En total, el HMS Beagle efectuó 3 grandes viajes. No fue hasta su segundo viaje, cuando Darwin embarcó. De los casi cinco años que duró esta segunda expedición, Darwin estuvo tres años y tres meses en tierra y dieciocho meses en la mar.

Gran kit!! Fue el primer proyecto que hice de Occre y sin duda repeti. Materiales de sobra y de muy alta calidad!

I purchased the Occre HMS Beagle from a 3rd party vendor, my first purchase of an Occre kit. The kit components are very high quality including the laser cut parts along with the various fittings, blocks, etc. There was more than enough wood to finish the project with quite a bit left over for the "lumber yard". Instructions were also clear and concise, and the photos of each step are incredibly helpful. I added extra details, such as copper plating the hull, which research showed that British naval ships of this era were universally copper plated. Also added details like oars for the ships boats and some other smaller details. A great kit like this allows for any additional details the builder wants to show. My next build will be HMS Endurance, which I purchased direct from Occre, should be getting started on that around September.
Very challenging love it
Excellent quality of materials, nice instruction booklets with HD images and explanatory video clips. All pre-cut pieces are accurately laser-cut, everything clips nicely into place. Have enjoyed a lot the building procedure so far, look forward to next steps.

This was such a fun project to do with my grandfather, we have never done any modeling, but this was a brilliant set to build. It may not look as good as if a professional did it, but it holds memories, and that’s what’s important.
Le istruzioni sono difformi dai video e troppo semplicistiche. La realtà è diversa e molte volte devo fare il contrario di quello che avete scritto.

Como siempre he disfrutado mucho con su construcción, además sus instrucciones de montaje con vídeos paso a paso te ayudan mucho para resolver cualquier duda o problema. Una vez terminado, he comenzado con la construcción del Mississipi, tenía ganas de hacer algún modelo diferente (sin velas), creo que voy a disfrutar mucho con su construcción. Me gusta la calidad de OCCRE. SALUDOS
