Its owner, the renowned British industrialist Sir Thomas Sopwith, invested in innovation and excellence to bring the United Kingdom to the top of international sailing.
The Endeavour stood out for its elegant design, advanced technology for its time, and outstanding regatta performance. Although it was one of the favorites, the Endeavour yacht delivered one of the most exciting America’s Cup finals, narrowly missing victory against the American defender Rainbow.
Who was the Endeavour yacht owner? The famous Endeavour yacht, built in 1934 for the America’s Cup, belonged to Sir Thomas Sopwith, a renowned British industrialist and passionate sailor.
