The schooner that chased smugglers (19th century)

The Albatros does not reproduce a specific vessel: it is an Occre design faithful to the schooners of the nineteenth century. Those two-masted craft were the fastest of their size, which is why governments used them as revenue cutters: chasing smugglers called for speed rather than guns. A simple rig, a small crew, fine lines. The very qualities that made them ideal for that trade make the Albatros ideal for another: building your first ship.
