The Santísima Trinidad

This ship of the line is the pinnacle of Spanish warship model kits. She was the only vessel of her time with four decks and 140 guns. Her imposing presence at the Battle of Trafalgar turned her into an eternal legend. Building this model means immersing yourself in the golden age of sail.

The Montañés

The Montañés was one of the fastest ships of the line Spain ever built. Launched at Ferrol on 14 May 1794 and paid for by a subscription among Cantabrian emigrants — hence her name — she was refined by the engineer Julián Martín de Retamosa, who reworked her hull lines until she became the lead ship of a new class of 74-gun vessels. She reached 14 knots running before the wind, and her underwater hull was sheathed in some 2,400 copper plates. At Trafalgar, on 21 October 1805, she fought under Francisco de Alcedo y Bustamante, who was killed in the action.

The San Felipe

The San Felipe is probably the most reproduced three-decker in the whole history of ship modelling, and with good reason: her design captures the exact moment when the seventeenth-century galleon becomes a ship of the line. Castles still high, a stern of exuberant ornamentation and artillery already spread across three continuous gun decks. It's the kit most enjoyed by modellers looking for decorative carving and large-scale castings — and one of the models with the strongest presence in a display cabinet.
