Galleon Ships

Galleon model kits: naval power on your table

The secrets the oceans hide usually stay on the seabed, but some ships refuse to be forgotten. When you picture a galleon model kit, you picture epic battles, timber groaning under cannon fire and full sails holding against the storm. What few people realise is the real engineering puzzle behind it all: how these floating fortresses managed to sail and fight at the same time. That is exactly what you'll uncover, step by step, from the moment the first piece of your next project clicks into place.

If you want to bring history back to life with your own hands, you're in the right place. At OcCre we design unique experiences through our ship model kits, built on a firm commitment to sustainability and responsible production. Every kit is a work of art in wood, faithful to the original plans.

Choose your next historic war galleon

Not every ship conquered the ocean in the same way. Each war galleon had its own mission, its own structure and its own identity. Here are the most legendary options to start building:

Spanish galleon model: San Martín

The San Martín was originally built in Portugal and passed into the ownership of the Spanish crown in 1580. Her place in history is considerable: she became the flagship of the Spanish Armada. Building this Spanish galleon model means working on a robust, detail-packed structure that captures the naval power of the era to perfection.

The ship Apostle Philip

This vessel was one of the six galleons that Martín de Arana built for King Philip IV. She formed part of the famous Silver Galleons, a group of escort ships essential to the Carrera de Indias, Spain's trade route to the Americas. Her main mission was carrying valuable cargo and treasure back to Spain. In 1629 she made her first voyage loaded with treasure and served as Almiranta – the fleet's second flagship – of the Armada de la Guardia until 1633. A piece of incalculable historical value for anyone who loves detail.

HMS Revenge

If you'd rather explore the technical side of English design, HMS Revenge was built by Sir John Hawkins at the Deptford shipyards in 1577. Her design introduced features that were remarkable for the time: a far narrower length-to-beam ratio and lower fore and stern castles than those of traditional galleons, giving her superior stability and speed in the heat of combat.

Why choose our galleon models?

Building a galleon ship model from scratch takes patience, but above all it takes high-quality materials. Our model kits to build stand out for their certified woods and metal castings worked to the millimetre. We focus on responsible, distinctive design, avoiding unnecessary plastics and making sure your build is clean, educational and truly rewarding.
